This consultancy was originally conceived as an audience and brand development exercise. However, it soon become clear that given the company's diverse outputs, audiences and performance contexts, a 'strategic audience development plan' in its most traditional sense (relationship building with specific audience segments and communities over time) was not a sustainable model for a innovative, fleet-of-foot company like Chol Theatre.

So, we focused on develop a brand that gave Chol 'wings' by developing a deeper understanding and stronger positioning of it's unique outputs, mind-set and processes. The result is a strong, charismatic brand that allows Chol to follow its artistic aspirations and explorations through an ever-evolving body of work.

Working with Lisa Baxter on Chol Theatre's brand development was a thoroughly enjoyable and fulfilling creative process. Lisa's rigorous attention to detail and passion for her work shone through at all times.
