Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival

In its second year, the organisers of Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival, Culture Warrington, wanted to understand the Festival experience from the audience/artist perspective to inform future programming and audience development initiatives. Through research conducted by The Experience Business major themes emerged around the concepts of Festival-ness, walkability, place making, community ownership, focal points, alternative contexts for non-arts audiences and when the Festival experience begins and ends (if it begins and ends at all). This has provided Culture Warrington with the insight to develop a programme of work with the audience/community experience at its heart.
